WiredPages Readership Down...

I have been trying to find new ways to promote WiredPages. Readership is down. I am considering all suggestions for new areas or tools to incorporate on the site. Even though readership is down, I recently had a request for a link exchange. I do not provide link exchanges for the news service. I do entertain all advertising queries.

Planned Enhancements:
  1. Implement a handy tool that supplies latitude and longitude coordinates based on the street address -- Reference Page.
  2. Some more conversion calculators -- Reference Page.
  3. More Legal Assistance sites for the Business Page.

November'05 searches of the WiredPages sub-domain:

If you would like to provide a suggestion:
  • email -- wiredpages@qisoftware.com
  • Leave a post here -- Sorry -- too many controversial posts to leave open -- registration required.

WiredPages New Critique...

Sometime ago I submitted WiredPages to SiteCritique. Today I had a pleasant surprise -- someone gave the site [WiredPages] a great rating... This is the first rating since the move and major redesign and needless to say, I am quite pleased.

What is SiteCritique?

Do You Think Alexa Wants to Tell Me Something?

About two weeks ago I noticed Alexa had totally removed "QiSoftware's" description:
Software consulting firm. Developer of the Blogger Calendar. Provides software solutions for a myriad of platforms and requirements.

The illustration on the right shows the current description for QiSoftware... They have truncated what I resubmitted. Do you think Alexa is trying to tell me something? I have tried unsucessfully to correct the error several times...

Another JavaScript Blogger Calendar...

This is a nice JavaScript Calendar for use with BlogSpot server blogs. It's a little slow, but it works. The method requires daily archived posts and it uses dynamic HTML [innerHtml] to write and then hide the archives part of the file so that the calendar has access to the data source...

This is the principle on which the Blogspot version of my calendar works -- however, I use a separate post rather than the hidden html. I am not sure if long term users of Blogger -- want to wait for the write process to complete, for the many posts they may have. This calendar also appears to be free. My version of the Blogger Calendar -- is not.

This is one of the best JavaScript calendars I have seen for Blogger. I have added it to the list of Blogging Tools & Add-ons.

How to Bore the Public...

This post is about long winded press releases -- I submitted the following to pr.com:

My name is Regina Thomas, my company, QiSoftware -- www.qisoftware.com and I am a business blogger. I am owner/moderator of the BusinessBlogs Yahoo! group. We are conducting a membership drive. If you are a business blogger and would like to network with other business bloggers click on this link to join us BusinessBlogs.

Even if you are not yet a business blogger, but thinking of becoming one -- this maybe a useful resource for your startup endeavors.

Sorry Spammers -- there is a zero tolerance for e-mail spamming so this is probably not the group for you.

We are also looking for group moderators. If you are interested -- after joining send an e-mail to the group owner indicating your desire.

A pr.com editor decided it should be longer. I disagreed so needless to say I won't submit anything else via the promoters of online bores. Now I know why I only read the first paragraph of most online news stories...

I am not a writer, however I read a lot... In my opinion the internet is often long winded. I think too many hardcopy editors think the Internet is their second home.

You think some of my posts are a bit long winded? Lawyers need details.
