Just Spoke With Shea

I just spoke with Shea from DoubleClicks. She explained that they are now owned by Google and email addresses were updated.

She seemed to be concerned with the fact I was not more concerned with the number of visits. If I am not getting credit for impressions, nor sales why would I be concerned with the number of visits? For both urls, where I currently show the New York Times Best Sellers I have 8 visits total for the month of May. I think those account for my visits-- testing the interface-- and curiosity about a book.

I have had 5 sales starting in October 07 and the last March 08 from this affiliate partner. I think the majority of these sales are from the books within Q's Wire's sidebar and not the links from the new interface I installed on March 13, 2008. The last sale, March 17, 2008 could be from the new interface but I am not sure. I have made $4.90 and have not received a check because it is below the pay threshold.

I also explained to Shea, I had been an affiliate through BFast and have always had a problem getting credit. Her email-- seemed to be in the same vein as other affiliate partners. I ask about a transaction-- and I do not get "what transaction" I get "which one are you talking about-- meaning more than one transaction". This is laughing in my face. I am not laughing.

I would like to walk before I run. If I am not getting impression credit that tracks with my site stats-- why would I trust visit and sales stats from the same reporting mechanism? I am baffled. I feel there are clever people that seem to think clever words can overlook fraud. Fraud is fraud.

I hope Shea was not being paid for any sales I made-- since she agreed I had not had any since March '08 and since I have no sales-- why keep the links available? Shea gets my point I am sure. Maybe she can shoot off another email.

FBI/DOJ-- my affiliate stats have always looked wrong. This would be fraud. In the case of this affiliate-- I think the list is useful on the WiredPages Library page-- so I will probably just disconnect the links and remove them from Q's Wire's store page. I am not providing free sales because the United States has decided my rights can be violated in broad daylight and there is nothing I can do about it.

You owe jail. I do not owe leeches and criminals.

ITunes-- I also have the same feelers out for you. I have had absolutely no sales. I have two interfaces and links all over the place. No sales? Apple does not need to take from me. Who would?
