Affiliate Sign-Up Merry-Go-Round...

I have been an advertiser for computer companies for sometime. One advertiser only offered the Small Business system ads. I joined another program where the same company offered the home systems. I applied with the www.qisoftware.com [main site] reference url to the affiliate.

I was rejected with this explanation [removed company's name from the following and replaced with the company]:

We reserve the right to reject your application if we determine your site is unsuitable. An unsuitable site includes, but is not limited to:
Sites that are unavailable or are under construction
Aesthetically unpleasing sites
Sites that do not contain computer or electronics category
Sites with hate/violent/offensive content
Sites containing sexually explicit materials
Sites promoting alcoholic beverages or excessive drinking/drug use
Sites promoting discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
Sites that promote violence or illegal activities
Sites containing extreme religious content
Gambling or lottery sites
Political sites that endorse one party or extreme political sites
Sites containing the company name or derivations in the url
Sites that misrepresent themselves as the company by co-opting the visual "look and feel" of the company site
Sites that use any type of spyware or illegal adware

Wonder why I can advertise the company's small business ads?

A related issue: I recently applied to another non-computing affiliate with the same program using the main url [www.qisoftware.com] as the reference. At first I was rejected. I then narrowed my reference site to just WiredPages and was immediately accepted. I am not going to revise my application for this advertiser. Every single area of QiSoftware relates to computing and computers in some way shape or form.

I think the blogs are the issue, but I am not sure. Why wouldn't they want to advertise on the blogs? They can claim posts like this are the problem? When is honesty objectionable?

I don't like politics when I am offering free ad space... and thus far I am told I have never sold anything -- so therefore I am providing free ad space.

Why keep the advertisers? -- Another legal avenue to the Department of Justice.
